| Poznámka: Note: | 31. smíšená brigáda byla zorganizována 2. ledna 1937 ve Villalbě a byla začleněna do 2. divize I. armádního sboru. 5. ledna, uprostřed procesu vycviku, byla vyslána do Las Rozas, obsazeném rebely, aby zastavila jejich postup. Brigádě podporované tanky se sice podařilo dosáhnout nepřátelských pozic, ale město znovu dobýt nepodařilo. Poté zůstala v pozicích u „Casa Amarilla". Po tomto boji a ukončení výcviku pokračovala 31. smíšená brigáda k pokrytí sektoru Sierra de Guadarrama. Po bitvě u Jaramy byla na několik týdnů součástí, z 10. divize, aby se 3. dubna vrátil do 2. divize. Na konci května byla brigáda uvolněna ze svého sektoru, aby zasáhla do ofenzivy La Granja. Operace začala 30. května a jednotka byla pověřena obsazením El Nevero a La Granja. Během bitvy utrpěla těžké ztráty, a na druhý břeh se dostala těžce otlučená. V katalánské ofenzívě se stahovala z La Pobla de la Granadella směrem na Montblanch a Tarragonu a 17. ledna 1939 se nacházela v blízkosti El Vendrell. 22. bránila přístupy k Barceloně a později se 31. smíšená brigáda připojila k všeobecnému ústupu směrem k francouzským hranicím. | The 31st Mixed Brigade was organized on 2 January 1937 in Villalba and was incorporated into the 2nd Division of the I Army Corps. On January 5, in the middle of the training process, she was sent to Las Rozas, occupied by the rebels, to halt their advance. The brigade, supported by tanks, managed to reach enemy positions, but failed to recapture the city. It then remained in positions at "Casa Amarilla". After this fight and the end of training, the 31st Mixed Brigade continued to cover the Sierra de Guadarrama sector. After the Battle of Jarama, it was part of the 10th Division for a few weeks, to return to the 2nd Division. In the face of the rebel offensive in Aragon, it was hastily formed the large 3rd Division under the command of Militia Major Manuel Tagüeño Lacorte, joined by the 31st Mixed Brigade, reached the front on 18 March and the next day relieved the 209th Mixed Brigade at Torrevelilla, where it managed to melt the advance of the Italian CTV, but this situation was temporary and the 31st Mixed Brigade joined the general retreat, although it must be said that the enemy's advance in its sector was slower than in others. A withdrawal was made towards Gandesa, and on March 31st she had two battalions at Pinello, while others went to defend the Mora de Ebro bridge. On July 25, 1938, the brigade crossed the Ebro south of Ribarroja, which it occupied and continued to advance through the Sierra de la Fatarella. In the two following days, she unsuccessfully attempted to occupy La Pobla de Masaluca. On 17 August it was withdrawn from the front line, but two days later it returned to combat, relieving the 84th Mixed Brigade in the Targa position opposite Villalba de los Arcos. His 121st Battalion was able to repulse Tercio de Montserrat's initial attack, but the battalion was virtually destroyed, and the following day it was unable to withstand the attack and retreated back to Vértice Gaeta. After eight days of fighting, the 31st Mixed Brigade was withdrawn to the sector reserve. In the Battle of the Ebro on November 12, the brigade abandoned its positions opposite Villalba and withdrew to Ascó. As late as 14 November it suffered a heavy attack on the road from La Fatarella to Ascó and the following day crossed the Ebro south of Flix. She suffered heavy losses during the battle, and made it to the other shore badly battered. In the Catalan offensive it was withdrawing from La Pobla de la Granadella towards Montblanch and Tarragona and on January 17, 1939 it was near El Vendrell.
