Klavins, Roberts

General Roberts KĻAVIŅŠ (L.k.o.k.) (10 Nov 1885 - 16 Oct 1941)
After service in the Russian Army, including as commander of 2. Rīga Rifle Regiment, and a period of captivity in Germany, returned to Latvia and joined the Army as a Lieutenant-Colonel on November 18, 1918. Transferre to the Red Army in 1940 as a Lieutenant-General and Commanding General, XXIV. Territorial Corps, he was lured to Moscow and arrested, tried and executed.
