Zpočátku měla své velitelství v Jódaru, kde zůstala, dokud nebyla povolána k účasti v bitvě u Teruelu (začleněna do 34. divize). Boje trvaly až do začátku května. | In September 1937, a Marine Brigade was created in Cartagena, which was given the number "94". It was assigned to the 34th Division and later to the 72nd Division XVIII. Army Corps. Initially, it had its headquarters in Yodar, where it remained until it was called to participate in the Battle of Teruel (incorporated into the 34th Division). During the Battle of Teruel, the unit played an important role in both the battles of "La Muela" and the conquest of the city. On February 8, 1938, during the Battle of Alfambra, the unit entered combat at elevation 1,403. Two days later, it joined the "Perea" group, which took part in a failed counterattack against the advance of Franco's forces. During all these operations, the unit was severely damaged, so it was withdrawn to Madrid, where it enjoyed a short rest period. It was reorganized and reinforced by units of the 95th Marine Brigade, which in fact was a merger with the 94th Marine Brigade. After the start of the Francoist offensive on the Aragonese front, she was sent as a reinforcement north of Ebra. At this time, it briefly joined the 70th Division. On April 18, the 94th Marine Brigade was stationed in Sort, subordinate to the 34th Division, and on April 19 it was assigned to the new "Bellvis" division in Castellciutat. Frank's offensive caused the unit to be driven into a corner in the Pyrenees. However, when Franco's attack was stopped, at the end of April, the 94th Marine Brigade took part in a Republican attack on the Frankish bridgehead Serós on the Segre River. According to the plan, however, the unit attacked Peñas de Aolo in the Sierra de Pobo without success. The fighting lasted until the beginning of May. It was practically eliminated in the fighting. She was awarded a medal for bravery for her performance. Then, on June 9, Segre passed through Vilanova de la Barca in a futile attempt to build a bridgehead. At that time, the unit was assigned to the 34th Division of the X. Army Corps. On December 31, the 94th Marine Brigade covered the Balaguer bridgehead sector and panicked during the first national attack. It is clear that this unit was not the Peñas de Aolo unit. The rest of the Battle of Catalonia was nothing more than a continuous retreat until it reached the French border. |
